SPORTS PERFORMANCE EVALUATION

Sports performance evaluation is the process of testing and analyzing the different components of sports performance. It gives important information among others about the health and physical condition of the tested person.

Assessing performance can be especially useful, for the individualization of training plans, as for the evaluation of the whole training procedure. Further, it also plays e key role on athletes motivation and goal setting. Performance evaluation is recommended both for professional and recreational athletes to be conducted each 2-6 months, as our health and physical condition change constantly.

The tests

Performance assessments can be conducted individually, for clubs, groups etc.

Tests are performed for the following components:

  • Anthropometric measurements (height, weight, Body Mass Index, body fat – skinfolds, etc.)
  • Endurance (lactate test, Heart Rate max, etc.)
  • Strength (1 RM or directly)
  • Core stability (endurance reation of the involved muscles)

The mentioned tests are field tests (not conducted in a laboratory) and their selection will be done according to your goals, kind of sport etc.
